Is that really all we can ask for? To be happy in small doses and just focus on those experiences when we are in between them? Crap crap crap!

| Do you ever feel like you don't know yourself very well? Like you're not sure why you say/do certain things or why other times you remain idle when you should have taken action? I can't tell if it is just a bit of low self esteem of if I've always felt this way somewhere deep inside but I've just been pushing it away in an attempt to find the simpler path. I do know that I would like to know who I am.

| So it has been a month since I have updated, which is evidence of how busy I have become down here in the lonestar state.
Things are going really well in most ways. I am getting busy at work and having loads of fun. We have been touring a lot of cool places and hearing from a lot on influential people. I think my favorite so far has been Ginger Kerrick. She is the flight director for the ISS Expedition 14. I am studying for my first KR but I have been so busy that I keep pushing if off.
So here are some things that I have done since my last update.
+Went to the Rocket;s last home game at Minute Maid Stadium
+ Attended the STS 115 Welcome Home at Ellington Field
+Watched Heidi faint because she was having trouble acclimating back to Earth's atmosphere
+ Meet most of the STS 115 crew and had my picture taken with them
+Weekly get together with some of the people from work to watch Grey's Anatomy and 6 Degrees
+Participated in the historic move from the blue FCR to FCR1 (the new home of ops for the ISS)
+Heard from Frank Hughes
+Had a team pasta dinner with the soccer team
+Went out after with a bunch of the guys and went bowling
+Starting weekly tutoring with a 5th grader named Ashley
+Heard from former astronaut John Young
+Spent a weekend in NYC with Phares, Christie, and Betsy (who let us crash at her place in Brooklyn)
+Went and saw a SNL taping
+Ice skated on Rockefeller Center at night
+Saw the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Met, Ground Zero
+Ate at an Irish Pub
+Ate Ice Cream in Little Italy
+Had my very first massage and LOVED it
+Created and am managing a website for work
+Took apart, rekeyed, and installed an MDM (the main piece of hardware for my system on the ISS)
+Fell asleep during my knee MRI
+Toured the full scale shuttle and station mock-ups in Bldg 9
+Meet with other co-ops to explore the possibility of creating a project to enter into a contest to get time to test an experiment in the Vomit Comet
+Decided to wait and submit a proposal next year
+Toured the Food Lab and learned all about how they choose, manufacture, package, and freeze dry the food for astronauts
+Won a soccer game, lost two
+Found out that I need to have knee surgery
+Scheduled it for Nov 20th
+Went to see the Departed and loved it
+Had a sleep over at Molly's and then stayed in bed all day and watched movies cause it was pouring rain
+Rescued my roomie from a flood (his car quit on him cause the water was so high)
+Canceled numerous soccer practices and softball games due to the monsoon type rain we have been getting down here
+Heard from Sy Liebergot who was on console when the Apollo 13 accident occurred
+Toured Ellington Field
+Sat in the C9 Vomit Comet
+Stood in the cargo bay of the shuttle transport
+Stood in the cargo bay of the guppy
+Touched a T38 (transport vehicle of the astronauts, can fly from JSC to KSC in 90 minutes)
+Stood in the STA (shuttle trainer where the astronauts bract landing the shuttle)
+Camped overnight on the beach on Bolivar Peninsula
+Am still scratching all of my bug bites
+Got to wake up to the sound of the water
+Went out to dinner with Molly at this cool restaurant downtown called the Aquarium
+Explored the city after dinner
+Went to a fun co-op party
+Got my Texas drivers license
+It is an over 21 ID even though my birthday is a week and a half away
+Learned how to play the card game 500
Things in the near future that I am looking forward to
+STOMP at Jones Hall on Friday
+Soccer
+We are currently tied for 5th of 11 teams and top 4 go to the post-season
+Beach Party
+Hearing the crew of STS 115 speak to the co-ops
+Halloween
+My 21st birthday
+WHO DEY in New Orleans with Erin O, Nik, and Tyler
+Beach Party
+Starting to take Russian classes
+Hearing from Shannon Lucid
So I think that is about it.

| awesome night with Phares at the Reds/Astros game. we talked a lot during the car ride and man is she fun to hang out with. too bad we'll probably never see each other unless we both get hired in by NASA.
